Clean Community Challenge

The Clean Community Challenge is designed to encourage local governments to take an active role in developing litter education, enforcement and eradication/clean-up activities. Participation incentives include recognition by the state and eligibility to receive grant funding to implement local litter prevention strategies.

Litter Awareness and Attitude Survey

One of the requirements of the program is a Litter Awareness and Attitude Survey. Click here to download a survey. Please fill out this survey and mail to KSB at 412 Pine Street in Sylvania. Please tell your friends and colleagues about this survey.

  • Parents are the primary people responsible for educating about litter

  • Primary sources of ugliness are 1) abandoned filling stations, motels, mfg. homes, and 2) roadside trash. There may be county ordinances against 1. Perhaps KSB concentration should be on 1 and 2.

Mission Statement

The Keep Screven Beautiful Commission encourages and educates all citizens of Screven County to end litter, minimize solid waste and beautify our county. The Commission works toward improving litter and solid waste control ordinances and seeks effective enforcement of all pertinent ordinances.
