Committees
The Keep Screven Beautiful Commission shall operate through the following standard committees:
Executive
The Executive Committee shall consist of the officers of KSB and the Executive Director. The Committee may act on issues requiring immediate attention between KSB meetings.
Public Information and Community Information
The Public Information and Community Information Committee shall be charged with developing informational and educational campaigns designed to change behavior throughout the county to abate litter, minimize solid waste and encourage recycling, and promote community beautification. This committee also has the Education Committee as a sub-committee.
Litter Control Committee
The Litter Control Committee shall be charged with developing projects, activities and campaigns to abate litter and support enforcement of litter laws.
Recycling Committee
The Recycling Committee shall be charged with developing projects, activities and campaigns to encourage and educate the citizens of Screven County on recycling.
Awards & Recognition Committee
The Awards & Recognition Committee is charged with conducting an awards program to recognize citizens "caught in the act" of keeping Screven Beautiful.
Community Beautification
The Beautification Committee shall be charged with developing projects, activities and campaigns designed to promote beautification of public and private property, to support code enforcement related to community beautification and make recommendations to local governments on ordinances relating to community beautification.
Clean Community Challenge Committee
The Clean Community Challenge shall be charged with encouraging local governments to take an active role in developing litter education, enforcement and eradication/clean-up activities.
Nominations Committee
The Nominations Committee shall annually recommend to the KSB membership nominees for all officer and committee positions.
Major Event Committees
Major Event Committees include the Great American Cleanup Committee and the Rivers Alive Committee.
Mission Statement
The Keep Screven Beautiful Commission encourages and educates all citizens of Screven County to end litter, minimize solid waste and beautify our county. The Commission works toward improving litter and solid waste control ordinances and seeks effective enforcement of all pertinent ordinances.
